IN THE HYPHEN is a creative practice shaped by the space between things.
It's where design meets food. Where memory becomes story. Where culture, community, and creativity overlap in ways that don't fit into a single title.
This is where I bring all of my work together—from branding and creative direction to dinners, collaborations, and writing. Different mediums, but the same intention: making things that help people feel connected to each other and to the stories they're trying to tell.
a place where passions intersect
As a Filipino-American, I've spent much of my life moving between cultures. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was doing the same thing creatively.
Design became my career. Food became the way I cared for people. Writing became a way to hold onto memories. None of them ever felt separate.
In the Hyphen is the place where they come together—a creative practice centered on thoughtful design, shared meals, and community experiences that invite people to slow down, connect, and feel at home.

Design is where most of my work begins. I partner with brands, restaurants, small businesses, and creative teams to build visual identities that feel thoughtful, clear, and built to last.
Whether it's a new brand, a website, packaging, or ongoing creative support, I believe good design should tell a story before a single word is read.

Ritual is a collection of essays and reflections about food, memory, and Filipino culture.
I write about the meals we remember, the traditions we carry, and the people who shape us. Sometimes it's a recipe. Sometimes it's a story. Most of the time, it's both.

Community is where collaboration takes shape.
I partner with brands, restaurants, artists, and organizations to create dinners, workshops, pop-ups, and cultural events that bring people together through food. Whether I'm planning, cooking, or collaborating behind the scenes, I'm most interested in creating experiences that feel welcoming, thoughtful, and worth coming back to.
